How to Sew Your First Button

Do you want to know how to sew a button? There are many ways to do it. Sewing buttons on clothing is done one way, and sewing buttons on craft projects is done another way.

This article explains how to sew a 4-hole button onto a plushy or anywhere else that you want it to lie flat against the fabric.

First decide which side of the fabric is the front and which side is the back.

Then choose where on the front you want to sew the button. You can mark the spot with a pen, if you want.

Ready? Let's go!

Congratulations, you have sewn your first button! Do you want to sew another?

Join me next Monday when I will share a pretty, felt, heart-ornament tutorial with you.

Happy stitching!
